Terms and conditions
General terms and conditions for Isovio. Version of 02.10.2026. This English version is a translation; the German version is authoritative.
This English version is a translation for convenience. In case of doubt the German version (AGB) is authoritative.
1. Scope
These general terms and conditions (terms) apply to the purchase of licences for the Isovio software (Isovio Draw, Isovio Edit and Isovio Design) on isovio.ch and to the use of Isovio. Different terms of the customer apply only if the provider confirms them in writing.
2. Provider
Isovio is a product of GRAFWERK, Manuel Graf, Rheinstrasse 58, 8212 Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland. E-mail: grafwerk.webseiten@gmail.com, phone: +41 78 712 24 00 (the «provider»).
3. Conclusion of the contract
To buy, the customer needs an account on isovio.ch. In the customer area the customer chooses the licence and the number of seats and completes the order with the payment. The contract is concluded with the successful payment; the licence is credited to the customer's account at once.
On request the provider also issues licences to companies against invoice. The contract is then concluded with the provider's confirmation.
4. Products and licence model
- Isovio Draw is the base. Isovio Edit and Isovio Design are add-ons to Isovio Draw and only available together with Draw. The Complete package contains all three.
- A licence is an annual licence per seat. It is valid for one year from the purchase.
- A seat is a PC on which Isovio is activated with the customer's account. Each activation takes one seat.
- The customer can free seats in the customer area or in the app and activate Isovio on another PC, for example when changing PCs.
- For PCs without an internet connection there is offline activation with a request file.
- Further seats as well as Isovio Edit and Isovio Design can be added during the term. They apply to all seats of the licence until it expires.
5. Trial
Isovio can be tried free of charge for 30 days before buying. Drawings from the trial carry the watermark «Trial version». Isovio Design can be tried for 14 days. The trial serves to check, before buying, whether Isovio suits the customer's needs.
6. Prices and payment
- The prices on isovio.ch at the time of the order apply, in Swiss francs per seat and year. The provider is not registered for VAT; no VAT is charged on the prices.
- An introductory price applies to purchases during the stated period. A renewal is charged at the price valid at the time of the renewal.
- Payment is made in advance online through the payment service Stripe, by card or another payment method offered at checkout. Card details go directly to Stripe; the provider does not see them.
- The licence does not renew automatically. It ends when the term expires. The customer renews it by buying again in the customer area; a renewal before expiry follows on from the current term.
7. Updates and pre-releases
All Isovio updates are included during the term. Versions numbered below 1.0 (0.x) are pre-releases: they are under active development, features and handling may change, and errors may occur. This applies in particular to Isovio Design. Isovio runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
8. Rights of use
- For the term the customer receives the non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Isovio for its own purposes within the seats and areas bought. The customer's employees may use Isovio within these seats.
- It is not permitted to pass on, rent out or sell Isovio or access data to third parties; to circumvent the licence check or the watermark; to decompile, reverse engineer or modify Isovio, unless the law mandatorily allows it.
- All rights in Isovio, its name and logo remain with the provider. Drawings and files that the customer creates with Isovio belong to the customer.
- Isovio contains third-party components under their own open-source licences, among them Open CASCADE Technology (LGPL), Qt for Python / PySide6 (LGPL) and planegcs (LGPL). For these components their licences take precedence over these terms. The provider makes the licence texts available on request.
9. Customer's duties
Isovio creates drawings automatically from 3D models. The customer checks every drawing professionally before using it for production, quotations or passing it on – in particular dimensions, tolerances, fits, threads, bending data and flat patterns. Responsibility for dimensions and tolerances remains with the customer. The customer keeps its access data confidential.
10. Warranty
Isovio is provided with the features described on isovio.ch. Software cannot be made entirely free of errors; unusual or faulty 3D models in particular may lead to incomplete drawings. The customer reports defects with a comprehensible description. The provider remedies material defects within a reasonable time, usually with an update. Any further warranty is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
11. Liability
- The provider is liable for damage it causes intentionally or through gross negligence.
- Otherwise liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law, in particular for slight negligence and for indirect and consequential damage such as faulty production, loss of material, rework or lost profit.
- Where the provider is nevertheless liable, liability is limited to the licence fees the customer paid in the 12 months before the event causing the damage.
12. Refunds
Isovio can be tested thoroughly in the trial before buying. After activation, licence fees paid are not refunded unless the law provides for it.
13. Data protection
Isovio processes models and drawings only on the customer's PC. How the provider processes personal data for the account, licence and payment is set out in the privacy policy.
14. Changes to these terms
The provider may change these terms and publishes the new version on isovio.ch. A purchase is governed by the version valid at the time of the order, a renewal by the version valid at the time of the renewal.
15. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered office in Neuhausen am Rheinfall. Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction remain reserved.
