Bending Pro: can the part be bent?
«Bend simulation & feasibility» plans the bend sequence of a sheet metal part on your press brake, shows it step by step in 3D and tells you whether the part can be made, before it goes to the workshop.
What it does
- One command for everything Machine and tools, bend sequence, segmentation and setup plan with the 3D simulation, step by step per bend, with collision display.
- Automatic bend sequence with pre-bend and tool suggestions. The sequence found is saved with the part and shown at once the next time.
- Station plan at a glance which stations, how many tool changes, how often to flip and turn, how the machine is occupied.
- Before/after per bend the cross-section before and after each bend, flip the part per step.
- Segmentation per tool from the stock of your tools, top and bottom chosen separately; backgauge retract per machine.
- Design suggestions for a collision: another punch, a shorter flange, a relief.
- Setup sheet the automatic bend sequence with tools and setup plan as a PDF for the workshop.

For sheet metal shops with a press brake, production planning and designers who want to know before release whether a part can be bent with the tools at hand.
Good to know
Already part of Isovio Design (Bending Basic): bend check, bend sequence by hand, setup sheet, tool and machine menu, pre-bend by hand. Bending Pro adds the automatic sequence and the 3D simulation.
